We are looking for a new colleague to join our legal team as a legal counsel responsible for supporting Y Soft's global business. You will focus on corporate matters, employment law, supporting the financial department, and the associated regulatory compliance.

What you'll do:

  • Covering group corporate governance agenda. Drafting and reviewing governance documents, managing board and committee meetings, handling legal aspects of shareholder relations, proxy statements, and annual meetings.
  • Supporting HR Team with legal guidance on various employment law matters. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment agreements, severance agreements, and other employment-related contracts. Developing and conducting training programs for employees and managers on employment law topics and best practices.
  • Cooperating closely with the Finance team, providing guidance on various financial transactions, contracts, and regulatory matters. Reviewing and drafting contracts and agreements related to financial transactions, such as loan agreements and vendor contracts.
  • Maintaining regulatory compliance within the assigned agendas. Supporting the development and implementation of Y Soft's internal regulations and policies. Monitoring regulatory developments and advising on implications for Y Soft's business.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, ensuring that all legal matters related to assigned agendas and projects are identified and appropriately addressed accurately and timely.
  • Working closely with other attorneys and colleagues both within the company and outside law firms.

About you:

You must:

  • Have at least 3 years of relevant law experience with employment and corporate governance at a reputable law firm or corporate legal department (or a combination thereof). 
  • Have some experience with multi-jurisdictional cross-border issues. 
  • Be fluent in Czech and English, demonstrated through strong verbal and written communication abilities. 
  • Be able to prioritize conflicting demands from multiple business clients.
  • Be comfortable participating in scheduled calls before or after normal business hours (both early mornings and late evenings) to accommodate global time zone issues.

We will be super happy if you have:

  • A basic IP protection knowledge.
  • Orientation in the global regulatory environment in the area of data privacy, including awareness (and understanding of the implications) of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU and UK GDPR.
  • Any legal support experience in a corporate global legal team function.
