About The Role:
PanasonicWELL is at the forefront of harnessing user and IoT data to revolutionize family wellbeing. We are seeking a seasoned and innovative Head of Data Science to lead our data science initiatives, focusing on extracting actionable insights from complex datasets to improve family health and wellness. This role is pivotal in producing the high quality data to build advanced AI/ML applications, enhancing our family wellbeing initiatives.
PanasonicWELL is able to employ individuals who reside in (or that are willing to relocate to) the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.
What You’ll Do:
- Leadership in Data Science: Direct a talented team of data scientists and BI analysts, fostering an environment of innovation and collaboration. Set high standards for data analysis and insight generation.
- Strategic Data Analysis: Develop and implement data strategies to process and analyze large-scale user and IoT datasets. Use these insights to inform and influence decisions related to family wellbeing products and services.
- Data Optimization: Oversee the collection, validation, and refinement of data to ensure its quality and relevance. Implement advanced statistical analysis and predictive modeling to uncover hidden patterns and trends.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product development, marketing, and customer experience teams to ensure that insights derived from data analysis are integrated into product design and business strategies.
- Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data science and related fields. Lead research initiatives to explore new methodologies and tools for data analysis.
- Effective Communication: Articulate complex data insights in a clear and compelling manner to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Prepare and present detailed reports on findings and their implications
What You’ll Bring:
- Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of leading data-driven projects to successful outcomes.
- Proven expertise in generating and refining data for the development of LLMs and General AI models.
- Strong background in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data processing.
- Proficiency in data science tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, etc.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing high-performing data science and BI teams.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic and results-driven mindset.

This position may be eligible for participation in our employee bonus program. Grade level and salary ranges are determined primarily through the scope and complexity of the role along with a review of the applicant’s experience and skills, as well as alignment with geographic market data and equity with other team members.
