We’re especially interested in students passionate about applying software engineering to meaningful and highly impactful real-world problems.  Technical skills in the following are relevant:

  • Autonomy and robotics - AI, deep learning, computer vision (image segmentation and classification), Visual odometry (VO), simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), structure from motion (SfM)
  • Data architecture and management - Databases, Back-end software systems and APIs
  • Embedded systems - Remote sensing, Guidance, navigation, and controls (GNC) / flight control systems, Formal proofing of certifiable systems, Model-based design

Expectations: Will vary depending on academic and professional experience. In general, candidates will need to demonstrate:

  • Academic / research / industry experience in one of the fields listed above
  • Comfort with general Mathematics, Engineering, Software concepts
  • Comfort with software development, and familiarity with at least one language (C++ or Python preferred)
  • Entrepreneurial personality, self-driven execution
  • Ability to work in a team by following guidance and coordinating with others
Employment terms:
