Xwing is seeking a software engineer to design, implement, and review software that will run on an autonomous aircraft or otherwise be part of a system of autonomous aircraft.  You will be joining a world-class engineering team in autonomous transportation and aerospace. Responsibilities and compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Example Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement control loops for the autopilot
  • Build UI features for ground control station monitoring and control
  • Develop sensor fusion and tracking algorithms for the detect-and-avoid system
  • Design and add features for data visualization framework
  • Write design documents to communicate design decisions

Required qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Extensive experience with one or more object-oriented programming languages
  • Effective at working in a multidisciplinary team and communicating across stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment
  • Detail-oriented and methodical while building software 

Desirable qualifications:

  • Experience with Python or C/C++
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following
    • Control systems
    • Computer vision
    • Tracking and estimation algorithms
    • Path-planning algorithms
    • UI design
