The Role
XTX operates a 24/7 model to support crypto trading, which operates around the clock. The operations team is looking for a candidate to join the team 4 days per week to work from Saturday to Tuesday to support this trading.
The role will be primarily focused on trade support during the weekend, but it is not only this. Our team ethos is to develop robust and scalable solutions to improve the efficiency of the team and its processes, so the role will also involve automation to a large extent. With the guidance of the team, candidates will improve and develop new processes using a range of technical skills such as Golang and SQL.
The role will cover beyond just cryptocurrencies as the firm trades in various asset classes and operations run as a global team.
XTX are looking for technically minded candidates with enthusiasm, initiative and able to work autonomously. The role is an opportunity to contribute to a small team with new ideas and make a real and positive impact to the team itself, as well as the firm. The team has presence in London, Singapore, New York, and Paris. This role is for London.
Logistics: You will work on Saturday and Sunday (from the office or home at your preference) and in the office on Monday and Tuesday to enhance collaboration with the team. Your hours will be 11am-11pm GMT (Noon-Midnight during BST) on Saturday and Sunday, with normal working hours (8am-6pm) on Monday and Tuesday. Note – your compensation package will be equivalent to a 5-day normal working week.
Responsibilities
- Trade Support: to be shared between Singapore and London during the weekend and the rest of the team for Monday and Tuesday.
- Managing cash (margin) across multiple crypto exchanges and brokers.
- Live risk monitoring and escalation.
- Production of various reports (including P&L, risk, cash).
- Ad-hoc trade executions.
- Ad-hoc data analysis.
- Support business development in onboarding of new exchanges or counterparties.
- Build and maintain automated processes.
- Work with the technology team to develop new tools and applications.
- Opportunities to gain exposure to various assets classes across the entire trade life cycle.
Essential Attributes
- A minimum of a 2:1 in Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science.
- Prior experience in cryptocurrencies (operations, support) is required.
- Keen to learn new technical skills.
- Keen interest in the cryptocurrency markets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Disciplined self-starter with a high degree of motivation and rigour.
- Some programming experience (Python, Go) related to automation.
- Experience working on weekend support advantageous.
- Experience with other asset classes advantageous.
- A demonstrated aptitude and interest in process improvement.
