We provide autonomous self-driving features for the Xiaopeng EV in China market. We are looking for people passionate about self-driving vehicles to join in and help us build top class autonomous self-driving vehicles. As a Machine Learning Engineer with Lidar specialization, you will be part of a team working towards our autonomous vehicle vision. You will be processing 3D Lidar point cloud for various applications including Lidar perception and Lidar mapping.
Develop Lidar-based algorithms such as feature extraction, scan matching, and odometry.
Develop algorithms for detecting, classifying, and tracking patterns in 3D point clouds.
Build tools and necessary infrastructure to evaluate the algorithms.
PhD in robotics, computer vision, or machine learning. Alternatively, Master with significant experience on delivering products using state-of-the-art computer vision, machine learning, and robotics technologies.
Good to have:
1+ year industrial experience in the related field.
Hold a PhD degree with strong publications in the field of robotics and/or 3D computer vision.
Experience on large scale graph optimization.
Fluency in machine learning libraries and frameworks; PyTorch preferred.
Hands-on experience on a robot with various sensors such as Lidars, cameras, IMU, GPS, etc.
Experience with ROS/DDS, OpenCV, and PCL.
Familiar with filtering/state estimation techniques.
C++/Python experience in an industrial setting.
