We are looking for a computer vision engineer with strong system design skills. In this role, you will be researching and developing state of the art computer vision and machine learning technologies that provide smooth millimeter/milliradian-grade localization of the car in its environment using visual, inertial and other sensors. The role requires a PhD in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, Signal Processing or related field. Experience in SLAM, 3D reconstruction, surface modeling or maps will be an added plus.
You will work with cross functional research and development teams in a rapidly paced environment. Your work will ensure that we deliver the most reliable mass market autonomous driving solution.
Research and develop algorithms for ego pose tracking using semantic features from camera perception, inertial and other sensors.
Work closely with perception and planning to build 3D perception pipeline.
Work closely with cross functional team for rapid execution on target platforms.
Minimum Skill Requirements:
PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Robotics, Signal Processing or related field
Solid foundation in probability, estimation, and optimization.
Proficient in developing in C++
Photogrammetry (Vis. Odometry, 3D Reconstruction, SLAM, Calibration)
Probability (Covariance, Maximum Likelihood, Error Propagation)
Linear Algebra (SVD, EVD, Cholesky, Numerical Considerations)
Software Profiling and Run-Time Optimization
Familiarity with Agile workflow
