About the Job

At Xendit, we are seeking a Compliance Associates who embodies our values and represents our Compliance Team. As one of the Pillars of Xendit, you will provide white-glove service to relevant stakeholders within Xendit, including but not limited to support and working hand-in-hand with Sales, Marketing, Experiment, Legal, Government Relations, External Relations, Partnerships, IT and Engineering, and Product, ensuring a dynamic, fast-paced, and fast-growing payment service Unicorn Startup. Your role as a true partner to the organization will involve solving problems across the Company and its subsidiary ranging from Compliance Advisory, Anti Money Laundering and Countering Terrorism Financing, Solutioning, Experiment Support, Fraud & Disputes, Government Relations, and many more. You'll bring a diverse set of skills, including exceptional communication, tech savviness, strategic thinking, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to succeed. Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of Compliance experience in Financial Service and/ or Payment Service related companies as a Compliance;
  • Experience in a combination ranging from Regulatory Compliance, Client Onboarding, Anti Money Laundering, Good Corporate Governance, Risk, Legal, Internal Compliance Audit, and other related functions;
  • Having a track record and deep understanding of Compliance matters including Know-Your-Customer principle, Customer due Diligence and Enhanced due Diligence, Post Transaction Monitoring, and Regulation Analysis related with Financial Institutions, including but not limited to Financial Service, Payment Service Providers, Remittances, Cross-Border Transactions, Foreign Exchange, and Multifinance;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships effortlessly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • You are a good student of the law and regulation, loves to read and have a high curiosity;
  • You enjoy to read many pages of regulation like you read comic books;
  • Able to present summary of regulation in 3-6 pages full of essential content;  
  • You have worked in an Indonesian financial institution under the compliance department and understand the nature and structure of local regulations;
  • You can speak both Indonesian and English fluently;
  • You’re willing to work harder than most and humble enough to learn from others.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze the regulations, regulatory bulletins, and other sources of information needed related with the company’s business industry, line, model, and initiatives;
  • Conduct periodic compliance reviews to ensure that the company’s practices remain compliant based on the regulation(s);
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and updating company policies and procedures related to compliance;
  • Assist other relevant teams to ensure any ongoing projects, initiatives, and/or changes in the business are in accordance with applicable regulation(s);
  • Keeps other departments abreast of requirements by researching regulatory and filing information; writing and communicating guidelines;
  • Maintain a comprehensive regulatory reporting calendar to ensure accurate submission of reports to regulatory authorities;
  • Key person to prepare, analyze, and submit compliance related reports to regulatory authorities;
  • Support and coordinate with internal and external audit related to compliance;
  • Point of contact for compliance-related inquiries from other stakeholders in the company, regulators, and other relevant authorities;
  • Prepare, analyze, perform Enhanced Due Diligence(EDD), and submit suspicious transactions reports;
  • Ensure internal compliance training programs  running regularly for employees to promote awareness and understanding of Anti Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing;
  • Assist in conducting risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations;
  • Maintain the proper documentations of company process;
  • Support the admin function of Compliance team
  • Participate and influence the design, plan, and implementation of other team’s’ projects and initiatives related with Compliance;
  • Do whatever it takes to make Xendit succeed.
