GMF is Xendit’s very own financing arm, possessing a multifinance license from OJK. Many of our customers are startups and small businesses that find it difficult to get funding from banks and other traditional lenders. The Role
The Lending Compliance Officer’s mission is to help Xendit expand its lending operations in Indonesia in a compliant and scalable manner. You will steer the compliance initiatives of Xendit’s lending operations, and ensure that our corporate structures locally and globally fulfill our regulators’ and investors’ requirements. You will also coordinate and liaise with the ID and PH Compliance teams to ensure that Xendit’s policies and controls are practical, efficient and workable.
Outcomes
Protect our licenses by identifying & rectifying gaps in lending products and operations, and corporate governance of our entities
- Prepare regulatory and internal compliance reports in an accurate and timely manner, including fulfilling our anti-money laundering & anti-terrorist financing obligations
- Identify, assess and make clear practical recommendations for internal teams to rectify compliance gaps in end-to-end business processes
- Interface with regulators and resolve issues raised by them in a timely manner
- Work closely with auditors to ensure accuracy and rectification of gaps
- Document, implement, enforce and communicate compliance with all regulatory requirements via internal policy and education
- Work closely with internal teams to fulfill regulators, auditors and investors’ requirements on our lending entities
Provide advice and solutions to the business to ensure compliance of our new products, services and channels
- Keep abreast of latest changes in regulatory requirements, and ensure governance programs and compliance policies are maintained and relevant
- Solicit and analyze industry information to gain additional intelligence regarding emerging risks
- Facilitate policy, risk and control discussions with stakeholders
- Provide regular staff training on regulatory requirements
Understand Xendit’s other businesses sufficiently to support the rest of the Indonesia Compliance team in ensuring that Xendit Group complies with regulations and internal policies

Experience
Any combination of relevant education and experience and/or related professional designations/certifications in this field is highly desirable.
- At least 3 years' compliance experience in Indonesian financial services, with a preference for lending, multi-finance and/or commercial banking industries
- Bachelor’s degree in Business / Law / Finance or equivalent
- Deep knowledge of OJK regulations regarding multi-finance and commercial banking
- Competent written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Preferred: at least 6 years’ working experience
- Good-to-have: Strong network with OJK personnel
- Good-to-have: Professional qualifications in governance, risk and compliance, such as the SPPI Risk Management license
