Junior Studio Manager (Creative Traffic Management)

Reporting to: Director of Operations

We are looking for a motivated and organised Junior Studio Manager to join our dynamic Operations Team.

You will support the traffic management and resource/ capacity planning of our Creative studio. Partnering with our Creative Studio Manager you will ensure all workflows are efficient, project timelines are on track, and the studios have everything they need to produce quality work.

What you'll do …

Studio Planning and Allocation:

  • Be a central contact for project coordination and updates (between our project teams and creatives), ensuring briefs into the team are present and clear, timelines are realistic and project bookings are confirmed and ready to proceed as scheduled
  • Working with project teams, you will allocate resources, manage schedules and coordinating both internal and external resources to meet project briefs
  • Assess the availability of Artworkers, Designers, Copywriters and Creatives and assign them to projects based on both skillset and bandwidth
  • Prioritise briefs and incoming work, keeping individuals and teams informed of deadlines and potential overlaps or conflicts whilst keeping the studio calendar up to date within our chosen resourcing tool (Resource Guru)

Workforce Optimization:

  • Analyse and improve the utilisation of individuals with diverse teams to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with other Studio/ Operations Managers within the creative disciplines to provide an integrated approach to resourcing and skills matching to projects before engaging freelance support

Talent Management

  • Manage a network of experienced freelancers. Manage bookings following company processes and support Creative Studio Manager with selection and onboarding of new freelancers
  • Understand the skillset and goals of our teams, and through collaboration and communication with teams and Creative Directors and Creative Studio Manager support their professional growth by identifying the right opportunities that unlock brilliance

General Studio Operations/ Management:

  • Have a voice in assessing and improving processes to enhance efficiency and reduce cost
  • Support quality control processes
  • Deliver training and support of teams
  • Previous experience assessing and challenging briefs to clarify requests and assemble winning teams to meet requirements
  • Support with service line processes and roll out of operational processes
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations
  • Support Print Managers with organising and logistics of printed assets

What you'll need to have …

  • Experience in a Studio, Traffic Management or Resource Coordinator position
  • Experience working within a Creative Agency or Design Studio in some capacity
  • Experience assessing and challenging briefs to clarify requests and assemble winning teams to meet requirements
  • An existing freelance network – design/ copy/ creative
