CreateFuture is fast becoming the UK’s most recognisable digital consultancy, with years of experience building digital products and services for major organisations whilst putting our people first. We have offices in the centre of Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester, and London as well as remote employees located throughout the country.
We are a team of creators - whether that’s code, project plans, go to market strategies, culture initiatives, marketing campaigns, large language models or people policies. And together, with our clients, we create the future. This has seen us collaborate and partner across a multitude of industries and sectors, with the likes of PayPal, adidas, Natwest, FanDuel and Money Saving Expert, to name just a few.
Our reputation as a partner determined to deliver high-quality, robust and thoughtful products has enabled us to scale to over 500 people in the last couple of years, and it is our amazing people - along with the safe, supportive and friendly culture we have built - that makes CreateFuture a great place to work. Don’t just take our word for it though, we have been recognised by Best Workplaces UK multiple years in a row - across a number of categories - and our employee exit rate is astonishingly low.
Join us on our journey… Let’s create something awesome, together, today.
About the role and team:
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join us on a short term contract. You'll join a rapidly expanding Product team, defining and developing an array of products. You will be working with one of our clients as the main point of contact for feature requests and will play a pivotal role in the overall success of the product.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working with clients and product teams to understand the “what” and then collaborating with the internal design and engineering teams to determine the “how”
- Understanding target customer needs, translating those needs into requirements, and working in collaboration with developers, QA, designers, and delivery managers
- Ensuring clear communication of the requirements across the team, contributing to the prioritisation of features and bugs, and managing client feedback
- Keeping on top of any changing requirements and ensuring the team and client retain a clear understanding of the end-product
- Uncovering, shaping and documenting requirements for upcoming features with stakeholders and development teams
- Facilitating pragmatic decision-making and product discussions, both internally and externally
- Managing the backlogs for projects that are in active development or have entered a maintenance phase
- Experience conducting workshops and business process mapping sessions
- Managing and facilitating solutions for emergent product issues during active development
- Actively manage stakeholders and work collaboratively with cross functional teams to deliver high quality solutions
What you can bring to the table:
- Experience uncovering, shaping and documenting requirements with stakeholders and development teams
- Working with development teams to scope out technical requirements in order to produce a backlog
- Supporting client engagements on the likes of APIs, microservices, data integrations etc
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Using techniques such as User Story mapping to capture requirements
- Experience in working with cross functional teams in an Agile environment
- You have experience working on web and/or mobile applications
- Comfortable working in an autonomous environment and prioritising shifting workloads
- You are a capable problem solver who brings energy and enthusiasm to your work and team
- Proactive in seeking answers to enable efficient delivery of solutions
We encourage you to apply even if you do not feel you meet absolutely all of the criteria outlined in the ‘Skills and Experience’ section. Having the right attitude and approach trumps specific experience for us, and we are happy to support you if you are looking to take the next step in your career.
What we’ll offer you:
At CreateFuture, we challenge ourselves to go beyond the obvious and we care deeply about our craft and customers. With us, you’ll have ambitious projects to sink your teeth into and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. You’ll be part of our safe, supportive and friendly culture - that looks after you - and join our team of genuinely great people.
As this is a hybrid role, we’re looking for people within a commuting distance of our hub locations and who are flexible to travel to client sites and CreateFuture regional offices. We are very flexible and trust you to manage your own schedule to balance face-to-face time with clients, colleagues and working from home.
We create and reinforce a culture that rewards employees’ impact, not just activity. We trust our employees to work autonomously and promote ownership across all levels.
