OVERVIEW OF THE JOB
Based in Melbourne, you’ll be joining our nationally resourced strategy team to work across a portfolio of accounts and reporting into the National Chief Strategy Officer. You will work closely with the CSO and other members of the WT team, across our various disciplines and capabilities to deliver best-in-class solutions to a wide variety of business problems.
You’ll develop deep knowledge of your client’s business, brands, competitors and consumers, win client trust and respect in your strategic solutions, inspire creatives with your briefs and collaborate with team members to generate & sell in the right ideas and execute the right solutions to drive measurable results.
Along the way you’ll tap into your wide-ranging skills: these will be strong in creative and communications strategy (across all channels especially digital/social) and you may have some of and/or be keen to gain more experience across areas like brand strategy, innovation, shopper, CX, Martech and beyond.
Whatever your current area of strategy expertise, you will need to be experienced in using data, planning and executing research, generating insights, workshopping/moderating, writing & presenting compelling strategies and briefs and working with others from various disciplines to inspire & deliver the best work.
You’re an up-and-coming strategist who excels in helping businesses & brands connect with people across the customer journey, through the brand ecosystem.
You believe in the power of brands to engage and transform, are a passionate advocate for creativity and love problem solving as an individual and in a team environment. You understand creative and communications strategy fundamentals and are keen to build deeper brand strategy & marketing skills and beyond that delve into new and emerging areas of capability.
You might be a mid or senior strategist ready to stretch beyond your current remit, but either way you’re looking for a team to join where you will be encouraged, mentored and empowered to do the best work of your career.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with strategic problem-solving executed through creativity & communications including digital/social.
- Some experience of one or more of the wider strategy capabilities would be preferred – social, connections, shopper, CX, CRM strategy etc.
- Ability to simplify complexity, via rigorous analysis of the qualitative and quantitative research and data inputs required for a strategy – inc both primary and secondary research experience (e.g. desktop research, supporting focus groups, social/search analytics, behavioural economics, workshops, etc.)
- A persuasive communicator, writer and presenter
- Team player able and keen to collaborate and work across disciplines.
