About the role:

The Lead Social Strategist should be a boundary pusher, you’ll need to work closely with the Head of Strategy, and a team of Strategists, Creatives and Community Managers, you’ll have to provide leadership, strategic focus, and a strong view on best practice Social Strategy and creative craft, working proactively to keep the work (and the agency) ahead of the curve.If you’re someone with a focus on strategic discipline and demonstrated experience working in an integrated agency then we are looking for you.
Role Requirements:
  • Champions and spearheads the Social Strategy discipline for the agency;
  • Expert knowledge, understanding and use of all Social platforms, and the best practice of them;
  • Ensure that your clients achieve best-in-class Social work across current and emergent platforms;
  • Also able to work across Earned PR and Influencer Strategy;
  • Engage with the Creative department to drive craft in the Social and Content space, and build understanding of ideas that will attract earned attention;
  • Contribute to the agency and the industry through thought leadership.
  • Work in a business development capacity, generating growth for Ogilvy’s Social offering;
 Skills and qualifications:
  • Proven history of Social and Content Strategy;
  • Significant experience as a Strategic partner for the delivery of exceptional creative work;
  • Experience across relevant Social channels and deep understanding of consumer behaviours;
  • Agency experience managing various campaigns and brands simultaneously;
  • Able to present effectively and autonomously;
  • Strong interpersonal skills reflected in strong client, internal and industry relationships;
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of Social media platforms and those who use them, as well as understanding of how to implement distinctive channel specific strategies;
  • Understanding of cost-effective use of paid media to fuel growth and engagement with justification of results and ROI highly regarded.
