The Lowdown
Team Union is a unique team within the broader WPP AUNZ network, bespoke to service Bankwest. You will be immersed in a variety of exciting integrated opportunities, focusing on the construct and execution of offline media campaigns.

You will be responsible for bringing the media strategy to life across Offline channels and ensure you deliver best in market amplification and negotiations that drive the client’s budget hard. With well established relationships with all Perth media partners, you will be empowered to develop go-to-market trading strategies, delivering on all client objectives and smashing benchmarks.

What’s your role – 
In 3 months:

  • Establish good client relationship through best in class client servicing, managing requests in efficient and professional manner
  • Develop a good understanding of the tools available to Ikon across both planning and buying
  • Hands on management of offline planning and implementation process, communicating clear deliverables and deadlines for client and internal teams

In six months:

  • Lead and manage the offline planning and trading product through strong relationships with Perth media
  • Craft and implement offline media campaigns whilst working collaboratively with broader team members to ensure that holistic media thinking is carried from conception to completion
  • Drive career development and growth for direct reports and use your media knowledge to upskill broader team members

In 12 months:

  • Understand the client’s broader business and communications needs and assist in bringing this to life through establishing strategic media campaigns
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the client, creative agencies and media partners to ensure integration flows between all partners
  • Provide insightful input into integrated Planning process to understand, influence and establish role and expected outcome of channel within the broader media mix

What will help you succeed 

  • Ideally, minimum of 5 years’ experience in media planning and trading (Offline)
  • Ideally, minimum 2 years Management experience
  • Experience in various clients and industries – finance is a bonus
  • Exceptional attention to detail across the planning process
  • Analytically minded and curious about data
  • Excellent client communication and professionalism
  • Highly organised, with strong project management and coordination skills
  • Works well autonomously, communicates effectively and loves to collaborate as part of the wider team
