Why we're hiring:
We are looking to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist. This role is to ensure the timely processing and payment of multidiscipline invoices, covering UK and international suppliers engaged by the London HQ departments.
What you'll be doing:
- Supervise the transition of work from Finance departments situated locally in Agency Finance teams into the Shared Service Centre environment.
- Oversee and manage the processing, payments and reconciliations of accounts payable trade and Intercompany supplier invoices and expenses on behalf of non-media Agencies.
- To automate and streamline processes in accordance with the standards set by WPP Global Shared Service Centres to ensure maximum automation and efficiencies.
- Review and monitor payment runs, supplier statement reconciliations, expenses and aged reports produced by the team and any specific accounts allocated to them personally.
- Take responsibility for resolving complex invoicing queries, ensuring that agency and supplier and accountable member of the team communicate at each step from initial stage to complete resolution.
- To chair and take part in agency and suppler review meetings having produced and reviewed in detail any reports or examples needed to be discussed.
- Liaise with other Global SCC Teams and cross functional departments such as master data, Treasury and Intercompany to ensure all elements that interact with AP are working closely with each other and understand the impact of actions taken in AP in relation to the rest of the business.

- Ability to plan and effectively use their time
- Ability to communicate with senior members of WPP departments in a professional manner
- Ability to work independently but communicate with rest of team
- Respond in a timely manner to ad hoc requests
