YOUR ROLE IN A NUTSHELL:
The Media Reconciler contributes to the success of WPP through the completion of exceptional and highly detailed reconciliations resulting in accurate account payments being processed in a timely, efficient and effective manner. The contribution of this role to the success of Finance is through the provision of exceptional service to our clients, enabling them to effectively manage their business relationships and finances / cash flow. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:

1. Reconciliations:

  • Process media reconciliations
  • Process mid-month and month end payments runs
  • Analyse creditor payments made to ensure accuracy
  • Amend media/creditor codes
  • Liaise with media buyers and media owners regarding discrepancies and work with both to resolve these
  • Support ad hoc and continuous improvement projects driven internally by Finance and/or WPPAUNZ Group initiatives

2. Team Membership:

  • Demonstrate and encourage a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
  • Participate in regular performance conversations
  • Actively participate in team and other meetings
  • Practice courteous assertiveness during all interactions
  • Demonstrate the behaviours expected from the team and customers
  • Demonstrate the WPP AUNZ Personal Attributes
  • Provide a strong emphasis on providing 'needs based' customer service
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; and establishing personal networks
  • Escalate matters to management as appropriate

3. Transforming our processes:

  • Continually challenge existing processes with the aim of Identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Regularly review existing workflows to identify opportunities for the automation of processes

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years’ experience in the Media Reconciliations field
  • Sound and extremely accurate data entry and administration experience
  • Advanced MS Office skills, with a high degree of confidence in MS Excel
  • Prior experience using large ERP systems is essential
  • Prior experience working with Pegasus, ERP, electronic workflow solution, BMD and BCC is desirable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise workloads and take personal responsibility for own work outcomes
  • Flexible attitude and a desire to be part of a team
  • Effective organisation skills with the ability to prioritise
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude amidst an environment of constant change
  • Working knowledge of Accounts Payable principles, practices and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail
