The GroupM IT team in WPP IT are the technology solutions partner for the GroupM group of agencies and are accountable for co-ordinating and assuring end-to-end change delivery, managing the GroupM IT technology life-cycle and innovation pipeline.

This role will work as part of the Local Systems Team, working as a software developer primarily for one of our key applications for our Kinetic agency. It will be responsible for developing  enhancements to the current Kinetic system, providing support for improvements captured in the backlog and driven by the business. A part of the job consists of working with the business, supporting the gathering of requirements, and working with the wider team to translate complex technical requirements into effective and concise requirements. You will play a crucial role in the development support team, leading them through the bi-weekly planning. Divide tasks amongst other team members, and assisting them where needed.

What you'll be doing:

Analysis & Implementation

  • Design, develop and maintain business solutions for the Kinetic MMS application using C# and React technologies.
  • Work with the team throughout the implementation process of new requirements, through to delivery.
  • Advise on best practices, create support guide documents.
  • Help Project teams define, build/configure and enhance the platform to high standards.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of user demands, usability, and functional issues
  • Become an expert end user of the applications within the programme. Develop in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of the functionality available, championing the platform.

Testing & Documentation

  • Actively participate in the evaluation and testing of new releases.
  • Provide support for new releases.

What you'll need:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in application development.
  • In depth experience in C#, React, SQL and Microsoft technologies.
  • In depth experience with Microsoft development stack, such as ASP.NET Core 6.0, SQL Server.
  • Experience in working with the Azure cloud technologies including app services, functions, service bus, application insights.
  • Knowledge of AKS and containerisation.
  • Experience with GraphQL and API Data Services
  • Familiar in working with Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new products, new IT systems and tools.
  • A proactive, “can do” (initiative), “flexible” mindset with a desire to help the team wherever the needs are (team player).
  • Desire to join a dynamic team and grow by learning and doing.
