The GroupM IT team in WPP IT are the technology solutions partner for the GroupM group of agencies and are accountable for co-ordinating and assuring end-to-end change delivery, managing the GroupM IT technology life-cycle and innovation pipeline.

This role will support Australian local market applications along with the implementation of future systems that are needed by local business. As part of the team focusing on technology delivery, you’ll be responsible for the administration, monitoring and maintenance of applications across all business units. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to address usability concerns, document solutions and support the product lifecycle

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide ongoing L1 and L2 support to users
  • Application Administration inc masterfiles, data management and data mapping activities
  • Liaise with end users to identify issues or areas for improvement, relaying development requests to third party vendors and regional/global teams
  • Develop, maintain processes and monitor application performance metrics
  • Perform application testing and assist in the design and documentation of system processes
  • Assist in upgrades including planning, testing and communications
  • Ensure application collateral including documents, manuals, policy documents etc are kept up to date and are available
  • Lead and manage projects autonomously, identifying potential risks and communicating status in a timely manner
  • Build relationships with key business units and stakeholders / third party vendors / regional contacts
  • Obtain a thorough understanding of media, media systems and processes at GroupM Australia across all business units  

What you'll need:

  • Able to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously; a self-starter and independent worker. You will need to be flexible and be able to switch “hats” seamlessly.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills - able to analyse and solve problems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with people at various levels of the business (both internal and external) with confident verbal and written communication.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Highly skilled in Excel, Word, and other word processing software programs
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as Support Analyst (Business or Technical)
  • Experienced in working with third-party vendor service/support teams
  • Media industry experience (nice to have)
  • Demonstrated experience with relational databases, such as SQL, Oracle and ability to write SQL commands is required
  • Able to communicate in English
