Role Purpose

As part of this process, we have identified the need for a crucial new role, the Workday HCM Payroll Integrations Consultant. The Payroll Integrations consultant will lead the integration delivery from Workday to ADP. This resource will ensure the customer requirements are captured and documented in interface specifications, tested and delivered correctly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design robust integration solutions connecting Workday HCM to ADP platforms for NA businesses (US and Canada).
  • Support technical project manager with payroll integration deployment plan & options, status updates, risk and issues.
  • Coordinate directly with business users to best understand and analyse business specifications to implement, change and enhance integrations.
  • Collaborate with other workstream (Process, Functional, Data, Test, Deploy) leads to ensure Payroll integration and ADP processes are aligned to Workday.
  • Work and coordinate with stakeholders, e.g., HR & Payroll teams, and external, e.g. vendors and implementation partners, to ensure the design is fully understood and all design gaps are closed.
  • Understand business requirements of HCM processes and coordinate the delivery of new integrations and changes to existing integrations.
  • Work with Payroll administrators, benefits administrators and HR operations to design the flow of information from Workday to ADP and other vendors.
  • Build payroll test scenarios to ensure the new and changes to the existing integration are tested correctly before moving it into production.
  • As part of your responsibilities, you will be involved in the integration process. This includes capturing requirements for new integrations and designing and configuring for HCM delivery. 
  • Define the Payroll Integration cut-over approach and plan and oversee the deployment to production.
  • Support the solution handover to the Workday Services team and provide support during the hyper care period after going live.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration designs and processes. Document Interface specifications to help move the integration from the project to BAU mode.

To be Successful

  • Extensive knowledge of business systems within the HR/Payroll functional areas
  • Being able to come up with creative solutions and having solid problem-solving skills is a must.
  • Previous experience in designing, building, and leading the delivery of Workday to ADP payroll integrations.
  • Experience with Workday Tools (E.g. PECI, Studio, PICOF, Core Connectors, EIB, etc.). Knowledge and experience of integration tools and concepts beyond Workday.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in dealing with payroll processes and data.
  • Experience in defining and documenting high-level business requirements of process flows across multiple supporting systems.
  • Experience collaborating with businesses, projects & vendors over multiple time zones, along with excellent stakeholder management skills with a collaborative approach.
  • As an applicant, you should have excellent business English skills and be able to articulate and document the design and configuration.
  • Minimum 5 – 7 years of experience in the Workday ecosystem.
