As we progress on this journey, we need to evolve our IT risk & compliance capabilities to be future ready and assure our global transformation whilst remediating today's world. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing a outstanding IT Compliance function to make it easy to do business whilst protecting WPP.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the automation and transformation of our global risk and compliance practices, leveraging technology solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.

Your primary goal will be to ensure that risks are appropriately identified, analyzed, and mitigated throughout the lifecycle of our IT assets & services to enable the successful achievement of our strategic goals. You will be responsible for developing and organizing best practices to operate and evolve a risk framework that is able to provide data-driven intelligence around how effective mitigations & transformation programs are managing their risks. You will play a critical role as responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with WPP IT transformation strategy and assisting programs. You will ensure that IT risks & compliance controls for our IT transformation programs are mitigated and managed. You will monitor and assure that controls and risk mitigations are operating effectively to instigate corrective action for all non-compliance issues or breaches you find.

What you'll be doing:

  • Audit Standards and Quality Assurance:
    • Devise procedures to inspect and report quality issues.
    • Monitor all operations that affect quality.
    • Supervise and guide inspectors, technicians, and other staff.
    • Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output.
    • Appraise customers’ requirements and ensure their satisfaction.
  • SOX Controls:
    • Review and analyse current standards and policies related to SOX controls
    • Ensure all legal standards are met, especially those mandated by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
    • Communicate with external quality assurance officers during on-site inspections.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Maintain compliance logs, record inspections, and conduct audits.
    • Follow up on corrective actions based on audit findings.
    • Promote, support, and implement quality strategies and policies across the organization.
    • Train, coach, and mentor employees to foster a professional work atmosphere.
  • Data-Driven Approach:
    • Collect and analyse quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Facilitate proactive solutions based on data insights.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Keep accurate records of quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation.
    • Prepare comprehensive reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on risk identification, assessment, and mitigation activities, fostering a risk-aware culture and mindset.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging risks, and best practices related to audit
  • Lead on Training and Awareness by conducting training sessions for IT staff on 1st line assurance practices. Using real, life teachable moments to foster a culture of risk awareness and responsibility within the organization.

What you'll need:

  • Proven experience as a quality assurance manager or in a relevant role.
  • Thorough knowledge of methodologies for quality assurance and standards.
  • Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and databases, BI reporting.
  • Outstanding communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Results-driven approach with excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Reliable, ethical, and detail-oriented.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a relevant field.
  • Certification in quality control (e.g., ISO 9000) is a strong advantage.
