We are building a new team to support our global People Platforms, both current and those scheduled for future deployment. This role will report to People Technology Product Manager the purpose of this role is to provide technical support across our People Platforms such as BeeLine, Totara and Payroll Platform and is key to the operational running of these applications. This role will resolve tickets and deliver new enhancements following ITIL processes such Incident, Request, Change and Release and will also be the escalation point for P1 tickets. The position will also provide technical leadership in multiple go-live readiness activities on future releases. The role will also participate in integration builds and ongoing maintenance, access management and security, user permissions policies and governance and data. It is key that relationships are built both with IT colleagues and OpCos to ensure effective platform support and alignment to WPPs transformation vision and journey.

This is an exciting and varied role in a dynamic organisation where you will work with the wider WPPIT and Global People Teams to provide a world class level of platform support and development on a day-to-day basis.

You will also work with the WPP Implementation Team and People Teams to understand, improve and deliver an efficient and effective solution.

What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for the people and process management of global teams supporting Workday Data
  • Responsible for day to day running of data support, prioritizing data changes and assigning incidents
  • Review data changes and assign incidents across the team while troubleshooting and resolving the most complex support issues in a timely manner adhering to WPP Service Level Agreements
  • Run the Workday merger and acquisition process and co-ordinate with other teams to complete the process
  • Maintain expertise on data standards/functionality/features/capabilities in Workday, wider industry, and technology trends
  • Review each new Workday release for impact on data upload EIBs in use and the M & A process
  • Analyse incidents raised to identify common themes, identify areas of improvement and implement strategies for failure prevention
  • Responsible for maintaining up to date data and associated processes documentation.

What you'll need:

  • Capture requirements from our stakeholders and work with our vendors or internal teams to turn these into deliverables with plans and funding
  •  Maintain technical process documentation, error handling and L1 triage guidance to our ServiceDesk
  •  Deliver supplementary training sessions as required
  •  Provide high intensity support immediately after deployments
  •  Recognized as technical SME across our suite of People Platforms
  •  Manage enhancement requests from the business on their feasibility, priority and cost.
  •  Communicate effectively on all release notes and understand how these will impact WPP instance.
  •  Manage enhancements from concept to delivery – on time, on budget and exceeding customer expectations
  •  Streamline user journeys and provide consistent, highly impactful end-user experience
  •  Develop requirement specifications obtaining input from the user base, deliver mid-build demonstrations as required to obtain feedback and sign off
  •  Safeguard global design standards and principles against competing requests for change
  •  Provide input and support to the Global Product Owners within the People Team
  • Advanced English fluency
