The IT/AV Support Engineer will be responsible for providing on-demand deskside IT, Audio/Video and Video Conferencing support for WPP employees and visiting clients.  The role is also expected to provide general deskside IT and AV/VC support for various WPP events in North America on as-needed basis, local or remote

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Deliver world class technology support services to WPP employees and visiting clients, operating within predefined structure, methodologies, and standards set by WPP IT
  • Log all IT engagements into a ticketing system to ensure IT demand and performance data can be reported upon
  • Serve as the 1st line of support for all IT/AV issues and requests for local executives.
  • Perform basic AV troubleshooting including resetting devices, cable management, etc.
  • Diagnose and escalate technical issues to service contracted IT or AV integrators
  • Provide IT/AV training for all WPP employees in the site as needed
  • Prepare and operate AV equipment for events such as Town Halls, pitches, and client meetings
  • Prevent, identify, and resolve technical issues and update users on progress and resolutions
  • Onsite support for video conference meetings and recordings, client pitch events
  • Maintain phone connectivity in all AV presentation settings
  • Interact with cable television provider for signal or transmission related issues
  • Evaluate AV systems for software and hardware upgrades
  • Assist in managing contracted AV integrators
  • Ensures that WPP and WPP IT policies and procedures are adhered to

 

Who you'll be working with:

The IT/AV Support Engineer reports to the IT Operations Manager, and will support colleagues at our Three World Trade Center campus.

 

What you'll need:

  • Must have MacOS and Windows OS experience
  • Proven ability to handle challenging, rapid-response user support.
  • Product experience with Crestron, Polycom, Microsoft 365
  • Experience operating video and audio equipment in live production environment.
  • Experience with lighting video conferences, productions and other events.
  • Experience and knowledge of web conferencing platforms and standards – Microsoft Teams, Skype, Google Hangouts Meet, Zoom, SIP, and H.323
  • Excellent client facing, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple concurrent tasks while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent self-organisation
  • Completer / finisher mentality - has a strong track record of delivery, has attention to detail, is organised and demonstrates excellent time management skills

Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
