As part of this transformation journey the global payroll team are initiating a payroll standardisation and consolidation program starting with India to harmonize payroll processes, ways of working and streamlined vendor solutions ahead of integration to Workday.

What you'll be doing:

The APAC (India) Payroll Test Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing the full end-to-end testing approach, planning, SIT, UAT, test script creation for new payroll systems, payroll data migration testing, and integration testing. The role requires strong leadership skills to manage APAC regional test managers and ensure the successful delivery of payroll testing within APAC.

Working in partnership with the regional delivery lead, business analysts and WPP global test teams to ensure accurate testing across all defined payroll processing requirements whilst managing a test analyst to support in the testing activities.

  • Define an end to end testing strategy in partnership with the proposed payroll vendors in region including co-creating and maintaining test scripts for execution during SIT and UAT
  • Implement and manage the full end-to-end testing approach for regional payroll systems
  • Manage regional test analysts and ensure the successful delivery of payroll testing within their region
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll data migration testing and test completion/execution status reports
  • Collaborate with the WPP/WD Test Teams to ensure alignment with global testing standards and processes
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on testing progress and any issues or risks
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regional payroll teams, IT teams, and business partners

 

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll testing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems such as ADP, Alight, Ceridian, or others.
  • Stong knowledge of payroll processes and regulations
  • Experience with system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Workday HCM is preferred.
