As we continue this journey, we require a Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer to work across functions – developing, optimising and simplifying our Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice and Teams Rooms products, to enable improved client delivery and employee experiences globally.

Reporting into the Lead Voice Engineer, you will design, build and manage platforms that will enable colleagues across WPP to collaborate effectively, and deliver seamlessly for their clients.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • In this specific role you will be part of the team working to deliver a major project to replace a global Cisco voice platform with Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice. You will work with the project and local teams to deliver this migration with minimal disruption to the business.
  • Support the products and services lifecycle, including selection and introduction, growth and maturity, migration, and closure.
  • Provide input into the design and deliver a ‘Best-of-breed’, cloud first, fully integrated voice estate.
  • Liaise with the various support functions across WPP to define support processes for all products, ensure SLAs are met, and colleague feedback is acted upon.
  • Deliver the technology scope for projects with telephony or meeting room requirements.
  • Drive the maximum possible level of automation and instrumentation of the development lifecycle for these products in alignment with SRE principles.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards and calculates risks while ensuring excellence in the design and/or delivery of solutions.
  • Drive customer/partner relationships to anticipate, identify, escalate, and work to resolve technical blockers to accelerate consumption and solution implementations.
  • Apply broad business and technical knowledge across various architecture or other Microsoft solutions to meet business and information technology (IT) requirements and resolve identified technical constraints. Shape and enhance customers' requirements.
  • Consult and provide thought leadership for technical solution design, development, and deployment.
  • Generate new ideas for changes and improvements to existing technologies.

What you'll need:

Skill Requirements

  • Passionate about developing and supporting collaboration and productivity solutions and transforming colleague experience in large, global, matrix organisations
  • Experience working in a multi-tenant O365 environment, managing Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice and Meeting Rooms.
  • Able to demonstrate strong operational grip and relentless focus on managing risk and security.
  • Experience of smart collaboration solutions and supporting the build of new campuses and the shift to hybrid working

Technical Skills / Certifications:

  • Extensive operational experience within all areas of MS Teams and Teams Enterprise Voice.
  • Powershell and graph scripting experience..
  • Solid knowledge of VoIP protocols such as SIP, H323, Codecs knowledge and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience managing and maintaining Microsoft Teams Certified SBCs and associated networks.
  • Strong understanding of country carrier SIP networks.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Microsoft 365 Certified: Managing Microsoft Teams, Teams Voice Engineer, or Teams Voice Engineer, Expert).
  • Knowledge of and experience using associated Microsoft Technologies; AAD, InTune, etc.
