As we progress on this journey, we are seeking an experienced ITAM Business Analyst to join our team to support our transformation. You will be responsible to operate within the IT Asset Management Operations practice, so that we are able to optimise our asset base and manage/reduce risk. The ITAM function is responsible for deploying and enforcing best practices on the IT E2E asset lifecycle.

The ITAM Business Analyst will be responsible for identifying process and system improvements within a culture of continual improvement, helping our IT Asset Management Operations practice to drive change across the business.

What you'll be doing:

   

  • Requirements Gathering:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their IT asset management needs and objectives.
    • Document and analyze business requirements, workflows, and processes.
  • Cost Optimization:
    • Identify software cost optimization opportunities and work with the SAM/HAM managers to achieve them.
    • Work with the Cost Optimization manager to run cost optimization activities, including software reclaim and delicensing.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Collect and analyze data related to IT asset inventory, procurement, deployment, and retirement.
    • Identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement in asset data.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Evaluate current asset management processes and identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
    • Propose and implement process improvements to enhance asset management effectiveness.
  • System Enhancement:
    • Work with IT teams to evaluate, select, and implement asset management software or tools.
    • Customize or configure asset management systems to align with business requirements.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure that asset management processes align with software licensing agreements and industry standards.
    • Generate and distribute reports on asset inventory, usage, and compliance.
  • Documentation:
    • Create and maintain documentation of asset management processes, policies, and procedures.
    • Develop user guides and training materials for asset management systems.
  • User Support:
    • Provide support and training to end-users and stakeholders on asset management tools and processes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in asset management.
    • Recommend and implement improvements to asset management practices.

 

What you'll need:

Qualification Requirements (Desirable)

  • Degree in engineering, computer science, finance - desirable but not essential
  • Minimum 4 years working in an IT Asset Management role
  • Minimum 4 years working in an IT Business Analyst role
  • Minimum 2 years working with ITAM or CMDB tools

Skill Requirements

  • Strong experience and background in Software Asset Management disciplines and ITIL
  • Demonstrable experience of Agile and traditional business analysis techniques - business process modelling, scenarios, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, etc.
  • Demonstratable experience with business requirements gathering and analysis
  • Good understanding of processes relating to creative services and ability to define new processes
  • Experience reviewing processes, mapping them, identifying pain points and making recommendations for improvements
  • Experience in areas of process management, project management, and performance management
  • Expert data analysis skills and demonstratable experience in Excel and BI tools
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with IT Asset Management tools, ServiceNow SAM and HAM Pro, and CMDB.
  • Experience working with software development teams (Agile/Scrum, onshore and offshore), products owners, end users, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and business adoption of new processes and technologies
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of associates in the organization
  • Experience working with global teams in large scale, high complexity environments
  • Experience in producing high quality documentation
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to learn quickly and understand new business environments; strong planning, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal skills strong analytic skills including the ability to interpret business needs and translate them into requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills: detail-oriented, thorough, dependable, and trustworthy, with a positive “can do” attitude
  • Proven stakeholder management skills working with all levels within an organization.
