About the Role

Ford Motor Company is one of VML’s leading global accounts. In Australia, a unique co-located model within the Fleet Department provides true integration on all B2B operations.

The Ford Fleet Department focuses on acquisition and retention of large fleet customers. This includes large fleet sales to Corporate, Government and Rental customers. At its core, these customers require and value the Fleet Department’s ongoing direct engagement with them and their selected Ford Dealer(s) on all ordering, fit out, delivery, invoicing and servicing matters. A large company’s fleet is an important tool in its ability to satisfy its own customers and a chief part of their reason to choose Ford is in the support offered by the Fleet team.     

This newly created role presents an exciting opportunity to directly support and be part of a new work stream. Referred to as “Upfit”, clients will be provided with an end-to-end solution for their company car fleets, presenting them with the opportunity to order both base vehicle and specific accessory fit outs managed and completed in house.

This role will primarily manage all administration (ordering, logistics, customer and dealer liaison) pertaining to the Upfit work stream. This is a full time, hybrid, contract role for 1 year based at Ford’s offices in Richmond, VIC that has the potential to be extended beyond the year.

Key Responsibilities

  • End to end administrative management of orders
  • Support pitch presentations and customer tenders to win new business
  • As the Upfit operation is new, support creating new processes from the ground up
  • Forecast vehicle volumes on a monthly basis to ensure stock is available for incoming orders and also ensure the upfit production pipeline is continuously fed
  • Create and maintain bespoke order tracking sheets including build, vessel and road logistics and upfit production
  • Create and issue client reports as required
  • Build and foster strong relationships with stakeholders related to the Upfit workstream

Required Experience/Skills/Capabilities

  • Minimum 3 years work experience in the automotive industry in an account support or project co-ordination capacity.
  • Experience in Fleet or Vehicle Body Building would be highly desirable.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products Word and PowerPoint is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • A valid Victorian Driver’s License is required.
