As we continue this journey, there is a need for an ERP Data Migration Lead to support the Maconomy Core Global ERP rollout programme in the EMEA countries. 

The Maconomy Core Programme has been running for over 6 years and has developed a core template solution which has been implemented in 19 countries covering approx. 30,000 users.

The ERP Data Migration Lead will act as the Maconomy/ERP data migration SME, lead/manage all data migration workstream activities and deliverables, be responsible for team management (internal and third-party resource) and the data migration strategy and work-stream plan.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Act as the Maconomy/ERP data migration SME on the project by providing expertise on ERP and data migration.
  • Lead, manage and take responsibility of ensuring all data migration workstream activities and deliverables are of right quality and to schedule.
  • Collaboratively work as part of the Maconomy programme team to ensure solutions are delivered to meet business requirements.
  • Work with Design and Functional Leads to understand the country-specific requirements and their implications for data migration and ensure they are accounted for in the data migration solution.
  • Collaborate with Global Maconomy team to assist Operating Company (OpCo) and Shared Service Centre (SSC) Data Team members to understand the Maconomy data model, migration strategy and upload templates; this includes data definitions, relationships, and constraints.
  • Responsible for team management, coordinating resources for all data requirements gathering, ETL, development, mapping, and cleansing activities involving Shared Service Centre (SSC) Data Team, OpCo Data Team, and 3rd party Technical Data Team
  • Responsible for the data migration strategy and plan for the project for all in-scope OpCos, from profiling to migration, including transition to BAU support.
  • Develop, manage, and execute data quality/cleansing cycles, dress rehearsals (mock) and cutover plans.
  • Plan and coordinate data cleansing activities with the SSC Data Team, OpCo Data Team, and 3rd party Technical Data Team
  • Ensure all work activities associated with the identification cleansing, enrichment, extract, transform and load of data from legacy systems into Maconomy is auditable and accurate.
  • Support the ERP Data Migration Architect with providing estimates and status reporting for data cleansing and migration related activities to Project Management team and business stakeholders
  • Collaboratively work with project team in relation to preparation of project plan for data activities, cutover tasks, deployment activities, and risk management
  • Help define and adhere to data standards and disciplines including those required for Programme Management and governance.
  • Working in conjunction with 3rd party Technical Data Team Lead to agree most effective and efficient tooling to be used for the data migration processes and recognizing long-term requirements.

What you'll need:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities and an aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • Good knowledge of finance and accounting; intermediate/part qualified/fully qualified chartered accountant.
  • Background in large ERP implementations or ERP data conversion projects, with multiple data sources from varying data models utilizing Maconomy/SAP/Oracle/Workday/similar as target
  • Strong consulting experience in ERP functionality and design, data cleansing and migration projects with demonstrable leadership backed by strong understanding of ETL processes, data cleansing and data loading for master and transactional data.
  • Relevant business knowledge of master and transactional data types and their typical use in ERP systems across the entire functional scope (OTC, R2R and P2P process areas)
  • Good knowledge of project management methodologies and the practical application of these practices to deliver results.
  • Excellent coordination and organizing skills
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills – to present data concepts in a meaningful way
  • A strong background in driving efficiency of data activities in an organization of relevant size, complexity, and scale
  • Confidence in challenging situations, able to inform senior management and work under pressure
  • Dogged, determined and attention to detail essential
