As Network security engineer work with multiple teams within WPP organizations to ensure the security of network related hardware and software including network monitoring tools, VPNs and firewalls.
Also take care of every aspect of a network’s security. Identify and address the security gaps in a network. Also create policies to defend network infrastructure in case of a cyberattack and are responsible for quick disaster recovery.
What you'll be doing:
- You will act as Senior NetSec Engineer on Public Cloud and related technologies for the Cloud Hub.
- Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organization’s data, systems, and networks.
- Troubleshooting and providing Cloud/Network L2/L3 support for 24x7.
- Managing WPP’s public-facing DNS, ensuring its reliability and correctness.
- Managing WAF and CDN used to accelerate and protect some of WPP’s highest profile websites, ensuring their reliability and performance.
- Knowledge of cloud networking and web security best practices for public (Azure, GCP) and Cloud technologies is essential.
- Monitor and analyze web performance metrics and security incidents across a variety of security appliances and platforms such as NextGen FW, WAF, CDN, ZeroTrust.
- Responding to all system and/or network security incidents. Evaluating the organization’s security requirements and establishing best practices and standards accordingly.
- Maintain and troubleshoot network issues across OSI levels 3-7 and beyond into the application layer using knowledge of network infrastructure and web technologies.
- Analysing logs and managing Incidents / Changes / Problems.
- Ability to conduct an in-depth analysis of computer networks and application systems identifying vulnerabilities or performance. Attention to detail is a fundamental personality trait of a network security engineer.
- Collaborate with product owners, OpCo owners, developers, and support staff to ensure continuous and reliable delivery of service.
What you'll need:
- Good exposure on cloud Native appliance in Cloudflare/Azure/GCP/AWS.
- Extensive Cloudflare knowledge
- Must have Azure Securityand Azure Network
- Deep understanding of DNS and troubleshooting issues with DNS related problems.
- Design and troubleshooting knowledge on Azure networking solutions, landing zone including virtual networks, subnets, security groups, routing, load balancers, and VPN connections.
- Design and troubleshooting knowledge on Cloudflare platform: DNS, WAF, CDN, ZeroTrust Access, WARP, TLS, Load Balancing, CDN, Rules & Other platform features
- Experience with Azure VNET, VPN Gateway, Application Gateway, Load Balancer, Front Door, Traffic Manager, NSGs, Virtual WAN, and performance monitoring tools.
- Design and troubleshooting on express route and VPN connectivity between on-premises datacentre and Azure Cloud.
- Troubleshooting and Administration knowledge on NSG, Azure Firewall, WAF, etc.,
- Web Application Firewall (WAF) tools such as Cloudflare, Azure WAF, etc.,
- Managing security operations with Azure Cloud Native technologies / Services.
- Nice to have knowledge inAviatrix, PaloAlto, etc.,
- Understand of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) languages such as, Terraform
- Advantage of having Knowledge on DevOps practices such as CI/CD, Pipeline, Azure DevOps, Terraform, GitHub Actions.
This role needs to be managed on 24x7 shifts as required.
