The Senior Accountant performs full-cycle month-end close and reporting duties for multiple subsidiaries. The Senior Accountant will be instrumental to improving and documenting processes to support growth in our business and will partner with business owners to drive improved financial reporting. They will interface directly with location General Managers / regional accounting resources to drive better financial performance and must possess a solid understanding of GAAP. The Senior Accountant reports directly into the Assistant Controller. 

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Book journal entries and complete account reconciliations as part of month end close for both balance sheet and P&L accounts
  • Participate in the ongoing development, improvement and documentation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Support the Fixed Asset system and process - review and approve assets, record monthly depreciation, and act as a liaison between the Digital/IT and Finance department
  • Support the payroll accounting process through coordination with HR
  • Review expense reports, reconcile credit cards and act as point of contact to resolve any related issues
  • Review inter-company and related party transactions and generate allocation journal entries
  • Assist regional offices to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Identify and drive process improvement and automation initiatives around finance systems
  • Maintain vendor master file including 1099/1042 tracking
  • Provide support for external audits to ensure compliance
  • Handle special projects and creates customized reports as needed


  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience; Sports Media & Entertainment a plus
  • BA / BS Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance required
  • Experience in the following is a plus: NetSuite ERP; Concur for Invoicing; Concur for T&E; Google Suite of Products
  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting, including process improvement and accounting / finance best practices
  • Professional training or knowledge: Public or Private Accounting Experience required
  • CPA license / track preferred
