The Operations & Manufacturing department at Tools for Humanity is responsible for all aspects of driving the Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics,Physical Security, Field Operational Compliance, and Technical Support of our world-class hardware devices reaching billions of people globally. About the Opportunity:
The Field Operations Manager plays a crucial role in managing all aspects of field operations projects from initiation to completion. Your role will involve planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. You will also oversee project teams during the implementation phase, helping to drive operational success.
Core Responsibilities:
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Coordinate and manage project tasks, schedules, and resources to optimize productivity.
- Implement and maintain safety and compliance protocols to ensure all operations adhere to industry and legal standards.
- Collaborate with other departments, including but not limited to logistics, central & market operations to ensure a smooth operation and resolve any issues promptly.
- Monitor and report on the progress of projects, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Conduct site inspections and spot audits to ensure adherence to operational procedures and safety guidelines.
- Innovate and implement continuous improvement strategies for field operations.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- Handle emergency response and crisis management when necessary.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in field operations or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, logistics operations, and Field Operations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in project management, safety, or related fields is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Flexibility to handle unexpected challenges and adapt to changing environments.
