About the Team
- This role is part of our World App team, which since its launch in July 2023, has grown to 5 million monthly active users globally and is on track to become the largest crypto wallet in the world. The app enables users to obtain their unique Proof of Personhood through World ID, claim Worldcoin Grants in eligible countries, and send money globally for free. World App has processed 60 million transactions since launch making it the largest crypto application on Optimism. We consume more than half of daily gas on Optimism.
About the Role:
- Design, test, optimize, deploy, and maintain high-traffic smart contracts
- Design and build scalable, well abstracted, and robust APIs, libraries, and services to integrate on-chain functionality into World App.
- Handle complex smart contract functionalities to enhance transaction efficiency and security.
- Document system architectures and contribute to the strategic planning of our product offerings.
About You
- A crypto native engineer
- A deep understanding of Solidity, EVM, Wallets (Safe Account Abstraction), and L2 infrastructure (OP Stack)
- Experience with Ethereum tools (Foundry, Viem/Ethers/Ethers-rs)
- Experience building scalable backend systems in TypeScript/Rust
- An open-source blockchain project enjoyer
- 3+ years of experience developing smart contracts or building blockchain applications.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Passionate for onchain finance (DeFi) and the open web
- Familiarity with ERC-4626
- You enjoy reading smart contracts in your free time

Pay transparency statement (for CA and NY based roles):
The reasonably estimated salary for this role at TFH ranges from $216,000 - $275,000, plus a competitive long term incentive package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
