We are seeking a motivated Business Development Coordinator to assist our Director of Business Development in driving lead generation and expanding the business. You will conduct market analysis, initiate contact with prospects, generate leads and sales, maintain relationships with existing clients, address their needs, and complete a range of administrative duties.
To excel in this role, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment, have excellent people and communication skills, and be comfortable pitching and presenting to prospects regularly. The successful applicant will be resourceful, organized, and motivated to increase sales, enhance the company's reputation, and find new and creative ways to market our services. A background in sales or marketing is strongly desirable.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Director of Business Development in creating and implementing sales strategies and identifying new markets to enter.
- Conduct market research to identify new business development opportunities and partners.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with prospects and clients via email, phone, and in-person.
- Field inbound inquiries.
- Perform cold call outreach.
- Coordinate and arrange client events, meetings, appointments, and conferences.
- Assist with the preparation of proposals, presentations, pitches, and RFP submissions for prospective clients.
- Write and distribute agendas, proposals, cost estimates, and briefing documents for internal and external meetings.
- Maintain client databases (CRM) and mailing lists.
- Track submitted proposals and provide feedback to management, including weekly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Coordinate with the Marketing & PR Team in the support of Business Development efforts.
- Represent the firm at industry functions and build external networking relationships.
- Provide administrative and scheduling support.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field, including architecture/design.
- 1 - 2 years of professional experience in a client-facing role.
- Friendly and personable demeanor, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong networking skills
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign.
