Responsibilities

We are seeking an exceptional Field Infrastructure Engineer to join our expanding team. In this role, you will spearhead innovation by leading the designing, development, and implementation of robust integration and automation solutions. These solutions will empower the Product and Engineering teams, and Customer Success teams to enhance their effectiveness and efficiency helping them deliver business outcomes. 

  • Build and maintain environments for running high-quality Workato product demonstrations

  • Acquire and manage SaaS/PaaS/IaaS platforms, applications, and technologies for demos and PoCs like Salesforce, SAP, Workday, NetSuite, ServiceNow, SnowFlake, AWS, GCP, etc.

  • Support users in accessing demo environments and demo applications, and help troubleshoot issues related to using those applications

  • Design and build tools to help this team manage effectively the demo infrastructure

  • Design and build tools and processes to help field team members be more productive in creating and delivering demos, POCs, and developing new connectors

  • Collect and share feedback from field teams to share it with product engineering team to drive product improvements

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • University degree or equivalent educational experience, ideally in a technical or engineering field, or equivalent industry experience.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in software engineering, technical consulting roles, or automation roles, with a focus on integration and automation platforms.

  • 2+ years of relevant experience with cloud services. Experience in deploying and managing applications and AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.

  • Good knowledge of AWS services and security best practices.

  • Experience with GCP and Azure is beneficial.

  • Certification, formal training, or deep familiarity with platform administration, integration development, and platform architecture is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with process orchestration, workflow tools, Business Process Management, Robotic Process Automation, or other automation products.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • 2-3 years of coding experience in Java/Python/Ruby, with knowledge of SOAP/XML considered a plus.

  • Critical thinking and analytical skills with an entrepreneurial and proactive mindset.

  • Proactive problem solver, ready to take on additional initiatives and responsibilities as they arise.

  • Technologically adept and quick to grasp new systems and concepts.
