Responsibilities

We are seeking a product management leader to drive the user setup, onboarding, and core platform experiences for our users. As a Lead Product Manager, you will be responsible for setting the direction and driving results for a core product initiative at Workato. 

You will work closely with our users and senior leadership to define the product content strategy, develop roadmaps to drive outbound engagement across various channels. 

You will work closely with a team of product managers, designers, developers, data scientists, and marketers to build content and communication that enables our users to gain immediate value from Workato while creating winning strategies for driving engagement.

Your strong product instincts and ability to combine a deep understanding of customer use cases with experimentation and data analysis will be crucial in developing the right solutions at the right time.

You will also be responsible to:

  • Own the roadmap and strategy for the user experience and engagement across all outbound channels vis-a-vis product notifications, Product Hub, email, Social, YouTube, Automation Pros, and others.

  • Develop and execute the roadmap to make product notifications an asset and vehicle for driving customer engagement, and retention.

  • Own the outbound product email communication that includes - onboarding emails, product newsletters, monthly usage insights, and more

  • Manage product content strategy for meeting customers in their channel(s) of preference with the most relevant product content at the right frequency, and time

  • Increase customer/user engagement measured by views, click-through, time spent on content across all channels 

  • Provide personalized and efficient communication for user journey that increases downstream engagement. Conduct experimentation to optimize journeys.

  • Make it easy for both new and existing users to discover different patterns of integrations/automations. Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to continually improve their journey.

  • Collaborate closely with other PMs responsible for onboarding, personalization, and value reporting to create a cohesive inbound and outbound experience

  • Use data, customer, and competitive insights, and industry best practices to find opportunities to drive higher engagement.  

  • Work with design, other product managers, and engineering teams to bring experiences to life that are long-lasting and reflect a deep sensitivity to user needs.

  • Understand and manage metrics to analyze the impact of activities and projects, and refine as needed to create an environment of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • 8+ years of product management experience with direct responsibility for the success of a consumer-facing product or product area

  • Data-driven. You have experience using a combination of quantitative (A/B testing and multivariate experimentation) as well as qualitative research methods to prioritize and validate ideas.

  • Able to prioritize activities in complex projects/programs, and influence stakeholders, at times with limited direct authority

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product along with feature delivery and tradeoffs

  • 0-to-1. You have taken products from idea to launch, with proven results post-launch

  • User-first. You understand and speak in terms of user value propositions, and o creatively inspire users to try the product. You take on complex product challenges and find elegant, simplifying solutions to avoid making them our users and partner's problems

  • Ability to leverage analytics and data to drive product decision making; familiarity with leveraging MixPanel, Google Analytics, Pendo, YouTube analytics, or other tools to understand user flows and usability issues

  • Experience with data extraction, manipulation, and statistical analysis including SQL and expert level Excel (analysis, formulas)

  • Proven success in driving acquisition, activation, and engagement of users in a digital sales SaaS sales model

  • Experience designing, instrumenting tools, and interpreting tests and analytics to drive decisions and improve product experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, or related field
