Responsibilities

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Security Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with our Business Systems and Security Teams. We are seeking an experienced person who is able to understand security requirements, apply standards based best practices in implementing a security program, and communicate effectively about our policies and practices to both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be responsible to:

  • Understand and remain up-to-date on Workato’s security measures, policies, and practices as well as industry trends and evolving standards.

  • Provide guidance, policies and recommendations to internal teams on security best practices for systems and applications.

  • Assist in set up, operation, management and monitoring of internal business applications, security tools and systems.

  • Evaluate and recommend new internal tools for system management and security.

  • Respond to security incidents involving internal business systems.

  • Author and maintain internal and external documents that document Workato’s security policies and practices.

  • Assist in Workato’s annual security audit. Create and maintain key documentation to support auditors and effectively demonstrate controls.

  • Monitor audit findings and remediation efforts as appropriate and assigned

  • Collect, evaluate and manage documents to support Workato’s Vendor Risk Management program.

  • Contribute to the development of organizational procedures that address evolving security requirements

  • Formulate and review responses to queries about Workato’s security program from prospects, customers and partners.

  • Handle customer calls and participate as needed in customer negotiations

  • Review contracts and other documents for security issues.

  • Participate and contribute to the vendor management program

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS or a related field.

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience working in IT Security, Assurance, Risk or Audit functions.

  • Knowledge of all domains within security covering people, process and technology

  • Solid understanding of security concepts, security policies, risks, and corresponding mitigation strategies

  • Experience with vendor assessments, policies and programs

  • Knowledge of privacy frameworks and regulations including GDPR.

  • Experience with NIST standards, ISO27001 certification or SOC-2 audit is a plus.

  • Security certification (CISA, CEH, CSSLP, CISSP, GIAC, GSE for example) is a plus.
