We are looking for an exceptional Director of Marketing, APJ to join our growing team. In this role, you will drive Workato’s growth through omnichannel campaign initiatives to create a strong pipeline that delivers revenue in the region. You will be a company builder and leader that can balance long-term strategy with short-term results focused execution in a fast-paced, growing business. You are someone who enjoys working at different “altitudes” - (a) strategic to be able to work with GTM leaders to come up with the overall marketing plan, and (b) tactical to drive and help with the execution of that plan.

  • Develop and implement the marketing strategy for APJ, including market segmentation and targeting, content, digital channels, partnerships, conferences, etc., and determine the most efficient way to scale growth for these diverse regions

  • Lead and grow our team of regional marketers based in Asia-Pacific and Japan.

  • Understanding the local markets and customer dynamics across segments including new business, existing customers, large enterprises, SMBs, industries and influencers

  • Develop an ideal account profile and customer profiles in deep collaboration with sales

  • Develop and implement a target list of account and marketing strategy to support selling into these accounts

  • Design & execute 1:1, 1: few, and broad-based marketing initiatives using various channels (digital Ads, webinars, direct mail, social media) to meet pipeline requirements

  • Develop webinar series targeting the personas and accounts

  • Work with partners to develop joint marketing campaigns

  • Measure and optimize marketing funnel and programs. Take accountability for budget, resource allocation, and performance to plan against defined metrics. 

  • Track and report on high-quality lead flow to ensure the appropriate sales channels are following up in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with the global Growth and Marketing team to create cross-portfolio GTM plans and marketing plans in alignment with strategic product mandates and sales directives

  • Build best in class customer journeys from top to bottom of the marketing funnel with breakthrough content, messaging, and optimization.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, having an MBA is a plus

  • 7-10+ years of experience leading marketing activities across APJ, including at least 3 years of experience building and managing high performing regional teams

  • Solid experience creating and executing ABM campaigns using tactics that include live events, webinars, digital advertising, social networking etc

  • Deep knowledge of demand generation mix including email marketing, social media, online marketing, channel marketing, webinars

  • Proven track record of driving targeted, optimized campaigns and programs

  • Experience with marketing automation and marketing operations tools such as Marketo, Salesforce etc.

  • Strong marketing background with knowledge and understanding of B2B SaaS platforms, integration, and automation space

  • Proven track record of working at the strategic and tactical level to develop multi-channel marketing campaigns

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use customer research, hard data, and metrics to back up assumptions, generate credible forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs.

  • Metric-driven with an ability to validate benchmarks to ensure continuous improvement in process and results

  • Demonstrated influence on Marketing strategy and go-to-market programs based on market research and insights

  • Someone who is strategic, analytical and can create objective driven planning and reporting

  • Bring a strong passion for Workato’s brand and products

  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills have experience working with a diverse, cross cultural team.

  • Master project management skills with superb attention to detail
