We are looking for a Customer Marketing Specialist/Associate who will be on the Customer Marketing team and will be Workato’s go-to customer experience and community expert. You will own all customer marketing initiatives, forge relationships with a wide customer base and drive campaigns to ensure that customers are engaged with the product and learning through the Automation Academy. You will create and maintain a community of certified Automation Academy members, fostering community participation and reward members for achievements.  You are versatile, relational, and content-minded.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for educating, developing, and expanding on Workato’s community of users via The Automation Academy 

  • Own the strategy and execution of our online customer community (determine goals for community; measure outcomes; facilitate discussions; manage cross-functional collaboration and content)

  • Manage and support an online space for Workato users

  • Manage and grow user community social channels

  • Build a world class community of passionate Workato users

  • Lead communication efforts to educate customers on new features and modules leveraging a multi-pronged approach to customer communications that could include digital and social channels, web, email, content marketing and use of a customer loyalty platform.

  • Work with content and social media teams to drive awareness of customer achievements

  • Engage customers through regular customer meetups and annual customer conferences 

  • Work with Customer Success and Sales to drive various customer marketing initiatives

  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Content Marketing, Product Marketing,  Sales, Customer Success, Design, and more) to improve customer experience

Requirements 

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communication or have relevant education or work experience 

  • Understanding of how community management and engagement drives business value and ROI

  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce and Marketo is a plus

Skills

  • Strong analytical and copywriting skills to develop compelling customer stories

  • Social media and community management

  • Excellent project management, communication and presentation skills

  • Able to work independently with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through

  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and comfortable with ambiguity

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, high energy, and enthusiasm, team oriented, strong cross-group collaborator
