As a Revenue controller - Lead the revenue function that ensures that all revenue is accounted for in accordance with company’s policies and accounting guidelines.

Meet the job

● 5+ years of General Ledger & Revenue accounting experience. (For CA – Articleship is not considered as experience);

● Review and processing of data to ensure completeness and accuracy of data in the Revenue system (Netsuite);
● Determining and processing appropriate contract updates, revenue adjustments, and other journals in the Revenue System and the data warehouse;
● Working closely with AR Team, GL team, reporting team and business controllers to meet business objectives;
● Own monthly revenue close procedures, including preparation of revenue and deferred revenue related journal entries, reconciliations, uploading transactions to Netsuite, and close presentations;
● Perform revenue and deferred revenue analytics and trends to provide visibility into relationships and drive revenue optimization initiatives;
● Partner with cross-functional business partners and third parties to implement best practices, automation, and continuous process improvements;
● Support revenue related system implementations and perform user acceptance testing;
● Prepare ad hoc analysis, as needed;
● Maintain necessary financial and control records along with supporting documentation related to Revenue for audit;
● Participation in ad hoc projects to support business initiatives including assessment of new contracts, customer summaries, and new internal revenue reporting needs.

How about you

● Experience in revenue and sales analysis data;
● Experience with software clients and/or industry or SaaS companies is preferred.
● Experience with Netsuite is a plus;
● Strong Working knowledge of Software Revenue Recognition Accounting - ASC 606 and IFRS 15
● Through understanding of IFRS/USGAPP/IndAs ;
● Should be a qualified Chartered Accountant / ACCA / CPA;
● Super-user (Advanced) in Excel;
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
● Highly organized, with great attention to detail;
● Confidence and proven record of communicating both orally and written, including the dissemination of technical information;
● Ability to interact effectively with sales and product teams, functional peer groups, and subordinates and to gain cooperation from others, especially those in other departments, as well as with outside auditors;
● Ability to work independently and take ownership of multiple concurrent and diversified tasks, while working with deadlines.
