About the Role

As a Business Development Coordinator (BDC) at Woodruff Sawyer, one of the largest insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the nation, you will be a key player in growing our business. Reporting to the BDC Manager and working closely with the Regional Growth Leader, you’ll directly support the Producers that drive our new business and client retention. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to adapt to the tools we use to facilitate business expansion. It is a hybrid role, with 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely.

What You'll Do

  • Work with the BDC Manager, who will drive training & development opportunities
    for you and be a liaison between you and Regional Growth Leader
  • Work with the Regional Growth Leader (RGL) to support the key initiatives and growth objectives in the region
  • Become a Salesforce expert (with our help!) and manage all reports and dashboards, while being the first line of support for Producers troubleshooting issues with the platform
  • Create, review, and update presentations in PowerPoint, Excel, and other tools
  • Support in-person and virtual events in partnership with the Field Marketing team
  • Support Producers in handling prospect lists, forecasting, and new client entries
  • Work with Producers to support them in accurately maintaining their pipelines and drive the data needed for monthly sales meetings
  • Help run Salesforce campaigns and track outreach and attendance
  • Research potential accounts and leads on assigned target account lists in partnership with the Market Growth team
  • Work closely with Sales Enablement to support the onboarding and training of new Producers as well as ongoing trainings and new system roll outs

  • You have a mix of excellent MS Office skills, a good eye for design, and good communication skills, allowing you to work directly with Sales team members on their requests.
  • You have experience with Salesforce (preferred) or another CRM system.
  • You are capable of learning new systems and have the patience to guide others as a trusted resource.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in sales, account management, or a customer-facing role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with the Salesforce ecosystem is a plus
  • Experience in insurance or a similar service-based industry, B2B environment, and/or selling or marketing to the C-suite is preferred

More About Us

Compensation: Anticipated salary between $64,000.00 - $95,000.00. Salary offered will be dependent upon geography, experience, and expertise of the candidate. 

This position is eligible to participate in an incentive program to earn additional compensation with a target equivalent to 8% of salary annually, based on individual and Company performance.
