The WONGDOODY Creative Scholarship works to bolster underrepresented groups in our industry in order to create a more diverse and inclusive future. Since 2015 this $5000 scholarship has been awarded to two female identifying students a year pursuing a creative-focused career in marketing or advertising. As part of our updated equity and inclusion plan and to further this mission of amplifying underrepresented groups in the Creative industry, we’ve decided that the Winter 2020 session of the scholarship will go to a Black student pursuing a career in the field. 
The WONGDOODY Creative Black Womxn to Watch Scholarship accepts ALL Black Womxn — this includes cis-gender, transgender, non-binary, queer, genderqueer, genderfluid, and in-transition. Our scholarship is inclusive and supportive, and self-definition is at the sole discretion of the applicant.
To be eligible an applicant must:
  • Identify as a Black female or Womxn
  • Be a currently enrolled student at a college in the United States and have completed at least their sophomore year of undergraduate studies or their first year of portfolio or graduate school.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress as determined by their school.
  • Be pursuing a creative-focused role in experience design, marketing or advertising including but not limited to experience designers, strategists, and content creators.

Application requirements:

  • Answer 3 of the 5 following essay questions. Each answer must be 500 words or less.
  • Complete this application in entirety, include your resume and link to your portfolio if applicable (please include passwords if necessary!)
  • Application period begins 10/05/20 and ends 11/13/20 by midnight PDT.
