Section 1. Job Overview

 

The company physician will support the Talent Experience team in its objective on health & wellness. He/she will lead the clinic management both in Dumaguete (onsite) and in Manila (virtually). He/she will also collaborate closely with various departments to ensure that employees receive comprehensive healthcare and guidance.

 

This includes conducting health assessments, offering personalized wellness plans, and providing resources for mental health support. Furthermore, the physician will play a key role in initiating programs to help mitigate reported illness based on the current trends reported by the clinic. By fostering a culture of well-being, the company aims to enhance overall employee satisfaction, reduce absenteeism, and boost productivity. Through these efforts, the Talent Experience team hopes to create a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to thrive both personally and professionally.



Section 2. Critical Work Functions and Key Tasks / Required Knowledge

Medical Services:

  • Offer suitable medical treatment to patients for any medical condition following a thorough medical evaluation.
  • Analyze and assess medical tests, lab findings, or workplace health risks to provide appropriate suggestions.
  • Administer immediate or emergency care within the workplace's available resources.
  • Assess employees coming from sick leave and issue to fit to work along with necessary restrictions or adjustments per company's guidelines.
  • Assess, diagnose and recommend legitimate number of rest for employees with report health complaint
  • During medical emergencies, collaborate with the company's emergency team to evaluate, provide immediate care, and refer to a certified medical facility if needed. For critical medical situations, the Occupational Health Physician may need to transfer the employee to the nearest accredited facility.

 

Health and Wellness Program:

  • Begin implementing strategies to prevent diseases or injuries in the workplace by ensuring appropriate medical oversight of the work environment.
  • Collaborate with the company's safety team to conduct quarterly or bi-annual workplace risk surveys and assessments.
  • Develop and execute occupational health and safety initiatives like PTB in the Workplace, Substance Abuse, HIV in the Workplace, Hepatitis B in the Workplace, and Family Welfare programs.
  • Create and deliver health education tailored to employees' medical conditions, facilitate enrollment in health programs, and provide health teachings during the distribution of onsite Annual Physical Examination (APE) results.
  • Act as a member of the Health and Safety of the client to represent the interest and inputs of occupational health practice.

 

Administrative:

  • Lead and initiate the development, implementation and monitoring of a medical record management system parallel to case tagging and reporting to executives and business partners
  • Lead the preparation of the Annual Medical Report using form DOLE/BWC/OH 47 A for submission to Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) with the company authorized representative and/or Environment, Safety and Health Committee.
  • Initiate the clinic services and experience evaluation
  • Monitor clinic logistic requirements on procuring supplies 
  • Research on corporate compliance for health based on the requirements cited by DOLE and other local government offices. 

 

Section 3. Skills, Competencies, Job Qualifications and Requirements

 

Education and Experience

  • Graduate of Doctoral in Medicine from a reputable institution with specialization and training in General Medicine, Occupational Health, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Currently registered and with an active license from the Professional Regulation Commission.
  • Experience of at least six (6) months from hospital, clinic or industrial setting.

Professional & Technical Knowledge

  • With Philcare accreditation 
  • Required training in Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid (FA) with the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC). Preferred training from American Heart Association, American Heart Association, and other related reputable institution.
  • Preferred training on Basic Course on Occupational Medicine conducted by the Philippine College of Occupational Medicine (PCOM)
