Position Description

Seeking a self-starting individual for the Market Research and Intelligence team to inform strategic decision-making, including insights into the federal market, customers, and competitors. Must be able to work in a highly collaborative setting and communicate professionally with C-suite executives. Performs quantitative and qualitative data analysis of markets and competitors. Provides guidance and training to Associates and Senior Associates.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Profiling the federal market and competitive environment, provides insights that support strategic decision-making in presentations to internal and external business customers
  2. Creating and updating comprehensive industry, competitor and customer models including, but not limited to, market share, growth projections and trends, and market forces
  3. Performing thorough, systematic analysis of key industry trends
  4. Providing market and competitive insights through presentations and reports to the Executive Leadership Team and various management teams to allow effective strategic and tactical decision-making and implementation
  5. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of data sources, evaluating their credibility and potential utility, and leveraging them across the company where appropriate
  6. Developing and maintaining relationships with key customers to identify emerging needs and business challenges
  7. Working with internal business customers to enhance their use of strategic analysis and market and competitor intelligence to ensure that appropriate communication channels are maintained
  8. Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of designated markets and trends through reading reports, market research, data manipulation and financial modeling and analysis
  9. Leading internal initiatives that improve business performance
  10. Training and mentoring more junior associates

 Desired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities 

  • Federal procurement: Must have a strong understanding of Federal government contracting
  • Computer skills: Must possess advanced Excel skills to aggregate, model, and manage large data sets and as well as advanced skills in PowerPoint and Word
  • Leadership: Demonstrates excellent leadership abilities, mentoring other employees, directing activities on group projects, and providing a model of professional excellence for others
  • Management: Ensures deadlines are met and goals are achieved while keeping executive leadership informed of progress and challenges on active projects

Desired Levels

Applicants will be hired at the Principal or Director level commensurate with experience, background, and education. US Citizenship is required.

Desired Education & Experience 

  • Education: BS/BA in Business Administration, Social Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience
