Director, Global Compensation, Benefits, and HRMS 

Ready, deliver, and oversee Winrock’s Total Rewards programs to competitively position the organization and achieve desired employee retention.  Deliver systems and practices perceived as fair, equitable, and competitive for a global employee population and ensure appropriate donor and regulatory compliance.  Facilitate efficient implementation and long-term effectiveness with delivery of global policies, procedures, and practices; monitoring and evaluation methods and metrics; and training and technical assistance.  Lead efforts to develop and leverage human capital data to inform workforce planning, decision-making, and employee engagement to contribute to a high-performing workforce.


Major Responsibilities:


  • Lead and develop a competitive and global Total Rewards Program which contributes to desired employee retention.  Ensure practices are perceived as fair and equitable, meet regulatory compliance requirements, and aligned with Winrock’s mission and operating and funding contexts. Monitor and evaluate and deliver regular reporting and opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee development and implementation of global salary administration and employee benefits programs in more than 30 countries to competitively position the organization, ensure internal equity, and offer agility for multiple operating and funding environments. Monitor and evaluate.
  • Lead efforts to streamline and enhance global mobility policies and practices. Develop and implement operational and administrative policies, procedures, and practices along with collateral materials for internal and external audiences.
  • Deliver timely and comprehensive labor pricing for a range of global activities including employees on international assignments, national staff, and potential technical specialists and consultants.
  • Oversee and ensure effective delivery and cost of all US employee benefits programs.
  • Lead efforts to develop and leverage human capital data to inform workforce planning, decision-making, and employee engagement to contribute to a high-performing workforce. Serve as the team lead and/or primary point of contact for all HRIS/HRMS activities and reporting around the globe.
  • Serve as an innovator, strategic contributor, problem-solver, and advisor for Total Rewards, Human Capital team, and the organization. Perform other duties as assigned.


Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of progressive compensation or Total Rewards experience with a minimum of 3 years in a team leader or manager role or equivalent education and experience.
  • Demonstrated success as an HR functional leader delivering global or national solutions in multiple locations aligned with organizational objectives and measurements.
  • Strong technical knowledge and depth in compensation, reward & recognition and/or knowledge and exposure to employee benefits, global mobility, international allowances and HRIS options and effective tools and systems. Significant capacity optimizing HRIS usage and reporting.
  • Demonstrated project management success delivering methods and systems to work forces of 2,500+ preferred.
  • Strong collaborator with effective interpersonal and analytical skills who can work seamlessly across countries, cultures, and organizational units required
  • Demonstrated ability to work, manage, and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced, high volume environment and on deadline; aptitude for problem solving and decision making needed
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills required. Capable of managing conflict and conflicting views. 
  • English fluency required. Proficiency in French preferred.
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed.
