Job Title: Architectural Professional I – Computational Design Focus
Job Duties: Under supervision of architect, assists in pre-design phase through construction administration of architecture project including iterative design concepts utilizing scripting, computational design, and parametric design; develops drawings for schematic design, design development, and contract documents including design sketches, renderings, models, graphics, details, sections, elevations, and schedules. Performs markups and revisions of documents. Develops BIM model and drafts 2D technical documents. Assists in programming, space planning, and rendering/presentation materials for client and office meetings. Compiles data and performs design computations, assists in production of amendments, addenda, and bulletins. Perform onsite surveys of existing conditions and documents field measurements. Researches materials and building systems.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an Accredited School and 1-year architectural computational design experience that includes: computational design including scripting, parametric design, conceptual design, schematic and design development, construction documentation; Grasshopper, Rhino, and Explicit Modelling, NURBS Surface Modelling and Parametric Modeling, Generative and Responsive Modeling; and graphic design. In lieu of 1-year of experience will accept educational instruction or combination of experience and educational instruction that includes all requirements identified above.
