The pipeline controller position is in Brookshire, Texas. Newly hired employees will receive on the job training including safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and other procedures related to the pipeline industry. This will be a 12-hour rotating shift schedule that will include nights, weekends and holidays.
Job Responsibilities:
The Pipeline Controller will be responsible for the safe and efficient remote operation of the WhiteWater pipeline systems in compliance with the DOT and state regulatory agencies. Additional controller responsibilities include but not limited to:
Remote starting/ stopping pumps/compressors and operating valves.
Monitoring and controlling the movement of product through multiple lines and facilities.
Monitoring of storage field activity
Analyzing changing conditions and alarms, making necessary adjustments
Determining accurate time of pipeline events (deliveries, noms, batches, etc.)
Ability to quickly detect abnormal operations and use critical judgement to react accordingly.
Monitor pipeline integrity and coordinate with field personnel all maintenance activities.
Communicating with field personnel, scheduling groups, customers and suppliers to maximize efficiency, safety, quality and customer service.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum of 60 college credit hours with oil and gas field operations/plant experience or minimum of 60 college credit hours with relevant oil and gas or air traffic controller experience in the military or on the job work experience operating as a pipeline controller or board operator in the oil and gas or chemical industry is required.
2-3 years of chemical /oil/gas industry experience.
Basic Computer skills including the use of Microsoft office products.
Successfully complete all pre-employment screening requirements; criminal and employment background checks, DOT drug screen, etc.
Team player who interacts well with co-workers, customers and the public.
Good communication skills (verbal Self driven to learn and written)
Must be able to sit and or stand at the console for a 12 hour shift or longer with the exception of occasional breaks.
Must be able to quickly learn and become proficient with procedures and processes pertaining to WhiteWater assets.
Must be able to evacuate the control center in an emergency and immediately report to White Water designated alternate control center.
Shift – Rotating 12 hour.
Travel – Yes, up to 10% of the time
