Whistle Sports is seeking an experienced Consumer Research Manager, based at our New York headquarters, reporting to the Director of Analytics & Insights.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Be the in-house expert on the Whistle Sports audience - leverage research to create a thorough understanding of who they are, what they like, how they spend their time and what content they’re interested in
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to deliver actionable business and content recommendations
  • Scope consumer research for the entire enterprise: Gather requests from across the organization (including marketing, sales, programming, content, social), translate questions into specific hypotheses for testing and identify the best research approach
  • Leverage existing data (publicly available or purchased/contracted) to help answer research questions; in absence of available data, design primary quantitative/qualitative research programs
  • Oversee all primary research design and execution, including methodology, survey construction, sampling, programming, data tabulation, weighting and analysis
  • Follow industry trends; research and disseminate key learnings to the broader organization
  • Use research to help sales teams tell the Whistle Sports story and drive revenue
  • Test content ideas and pilots to aid in the development of new franchises  
  • Design research programs that effectively and accurately measure the impact of branded content campaigns

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 4+ years experience in consumer research (experience at a research firm or marketing/media agency ideal)
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate and translate multiple data sources into actionable insights
  • Experience writing surveys and analyzing crosstab data required
  • Experience fielding projects using platforms like Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey or similar a plus
  • Wizard in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Tableau/other visualization tools
