Primary Job Description:

The Senior Manager, People & Culture is responsible for all facets of HR and company culture at Whistle Sports. This position is based out of our New York City office and reports into our Chief Operating Officer.

  • Administer payroll and benefits for a team of 100 (and counting) team members in the US and UK
  • Partner with the Operations and Finance teams on compensation strategy
  • Oversee all things culture, including events, team member feedback and engagement surveys, annual performance reviews, learning and development programs, and onboarding new employees
  • Work closely with our in-house and outside counsel to stay up-to-date on changing labor laws and company policies
  • Run point on all internal team member communications including facilitating monthly all-hands meetings
  • Oversee a team of two office coordinators, one based in NYC and one based in London

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 4-6 years experience in Human Resources
  • Easily able to communicate across all levels of an organization and build relationships with everyone from the executive team down to the newest entry-level team member
  • Able to manage competing priorities without compromising on quality
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and mediate employee relations issues in partnership with our in-house counsel
  • Past experience in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Possess knowledge of NY, CA, and federal employment law
  • Familiarity with JustWorks and Greenhouse preferred
  • aPHR / PHR / SHRM-CP certification(s) is/are a huge plus
