We are looking for a Data Scientist to work at the intersection of the Billing and B2B departments. You will focus on analysing and optimizing payment processes, fraud detection, and contributing to the strategic development of B2B services. Also, you will bridge the gap between data analysis and product analytics, applying advanced data techniques to drive product and business decision-making, enhance payment security, and support the growth of our B2B platform.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a detailed analysis of payment processing costs across different countries, providers, and payment systems
- Identify fraud patterns, investigate fraud cases, and develop metrics and reports for monitoring and reporting fraud activities
- Work closely with the B2B team to define high-level strategic decisions and roadmap and contribute to the development of growth models by segmenting B2B customers and identifying the best performing segments (LTV, etc.)
- Review and monitor key B2B and payment metrics throughout the funnel, from account creation and card linkage to recurring payments, debts, and disputes
- Participate in the discovery phase with Product Managers, validating product ideas with existing data or market figures, including A/B testing
- Calculate the impact of new features on metrics and communicate findings to the team and the broader company
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in analytics, data science, machine learning, or a related field
- Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Economics, or related fields
- Advanced skills in SQL and intermediate to advanced proficiency in Python
- Practical understanding of statistics, including A/B testing, statistical significance, and distributions
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
Nice to have:
- Experience in fraud detection techniques and familiarity with payment technology industry standards
- Experience with ML models, especially for fraud detection
- Background in cybersecurity, fraud certification, or experience in the marketplace, e-commerce, and ride-hailing domains
