About the role
You will take the lead in managing the supply chain and logistics of in-car amenities across our key markets in multiple countries. Your role is not just transactional; it's about enhancing the Wheely experience for our passengers by ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality amenities. You will own the relationships with suppliers from different countries, acting as the liaison between them and our international teams.
Your focus will extend to monitoring unit economics, optimising costs, and executing demand forecasts to meet the evolving needs of each market. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with peers in other regions to refine and improve the supply chain processes, ensuring that Wheely's passenger expectations are consistently exceeded.
This role calls for a hands-on approach and offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to Wheely’s growth. You will be a key player in helping the UAE team, and Wheely as a whole, scale effectively and efficiently in the luxury transport sector.
What you will be doing
- Demand Forecasting: Analyse and forecast the demand for amenities in different regions to determine optimal order quantities.
- Cost Management: Perform cost analysis to identify the most economical ordering and distribution strategies, including break-even analysis.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Own and manage the relationships with suppliers located in different countries, ensuring high quality and timely deliveries.
- Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, including invoicing and payments.
- Regional Distribution: Coordinate the logistics for distributing amenities to the different regions in which Wheely operates.
- Stock Management: Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring timely renewals to meet demand.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with peers in different regions to continuously improve supply chain processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field is preferred.
- Language Skills: Additional languages are preferable based on the countries Wheely operates in.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in supply chain and logistics, preferably in a luxury or high-service environment as well as experience in managing suppliers in Asia.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills with experience in demand forecasting and cost analysis.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
