The Pitch Maintenance Technician, working with the Sr Director of Soccer Operations & ACFC’s agronomy consultant, will help keep ACFC’s grass training pitch in top Professional condition.
Responsibilities
The Pitch Maintenance Technician will perform a range of grass & soccer maintenance tasks including, but not limited to:
- Mowing (John Deere 6080A)
- Painting soccer lines (Turf Tank & Pioneer wheel-to-wheel painters)
- Post-training pitch repairs (small divot repair, debris clean up, etc.)
- Move & / or set soccer goals where needed for the coaching staff
- Pick up garbage & debris around the pitch
- Assist with pitch maintenance work such as fertilizing, seeding, topdressing, verticutting, etc
- Collect Pitch Surface Testing data as needed / as directed
- Assist with setting irrigation/water schedules for pitch
- Assist with managing outside contractors who might be performing supporting maintenance
Requirements
- General knowledge of Pitch & / or Grounds maintenance
- Ability to interact with coaches & technical staff
- Ability to perform moderately complex manual labor, including bending, kneeling, and lifting
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions (sun, heat, rain, cold)
- Ability to run small engine equipment such as lawnmowers, weed eaters, blowers, etc
- Willing to work some non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, etc.)
- Willing to keep a positive, can-do attitude even during challenging times
- Willing to focus on safety / use caution when working around other
Compensation
This role pays $30.00 per hour.
